Context

A training made for designers, this microlearning walks through a proven framework for prompt engineering for artificial intelligence.

Challenge

Artificial intelligence is a reality in the world we live in. Each industry will have to understand effective ways to utilize AI tools as time goes on. When it comes to instructional design, the challenge is understanding when and how to use AI in a way that allows for efficiencies while still maintaining the human element of developing and implementing training.

Solution

This training will introduce instructional designers to the RISEN framework, an AI prompting method that is used effectively across industries to write effective prompts. The training will walk designers through some specific examples of when it is useful for IDs to use AI, and how to apply the RISEN framework to those specific situations.

Impact

By utilizing the RISEN framework within appropriate contexts, instructional designers who take this course will be equipped to leverage the power of AI for efficiency while maintaining the necessary human elements of development and creativity for effective instructional design.
